The Sports Club, Jungli

We live in a world where hustle culture is celebrated. Where we are drowned in an ocean of notifications. Where it’s sometimes hard to see the sky amongst the buildings, and even harder to find fresh air.

 

Against this backdrop, we’d like to offer you our ancestral slice of paradise in Dandeli, the jungles of South India.

 

I hold a vision to create a space where people come to do their best work. Where all the little things like good rooms, food, wifi, and laundry are handled so that you can deeply relax. Where you can then explore your creativity & productivity from this feeling of deep relaxation. Where you have the option to socialise, without the pressure of doing so. Where the view of traffic & construction is replaced with wide, open spaces.

 

So who are these Jungli’s - the inhabitants of this space? They may identify as digital nomads, traveling artists, entrepreneurs or nature lovers that peacefully rebel against the norm by carving their own path. Tucked away in the jungle, they share one thing in common: each of them are on a mission. They come with batteries loaded, eager to find the right creative conditions to make ‘that thing’ they’ve been working on. They are open to meeting like-minded people, but are equally content to spend time lost in themselves, immersed in nature.

 

Our job is to find these Jungli’s, and invite them to the home they’ve been looking for all their lives. A place which understands their nomadic needs, and allows for them to affordably live their dream life. A place where check-out dates are not necessary because spontaneity is encouraged. A place where your goals are our goals, and we co-conspire with the jungle to help fulfil them.

 

Unlike other ‘artist retreats’, this place will allow the residents to collaborate organically without any schedule or requirements. Naturally, the teachers will teach; and the learners will learn. Collaborations will form, while creations become merely incidental. 

 

As the global nomad movement continues to thrive, Jungli will become one of many nomad hubs in the world like Madeira in Portugal, Bansko in Bulgaria, or Bellagio in Italy. Its differentiation will lie in the space that it gives each resident to create their best work. We trust the sacred energy that the land carries will bring the best out of its residents, thereby wanting them to return again and again.
